The Mrs and I managed to wrangle our bee swarm into an home depot bucket in the middle of the night to pretend them from deciding to take up residence somewhere unfortunate (and to pretend us from any associated unfortunate costs). When they used the magic of craigslist to find a beekeeper in need of some bees to come collect them and give them a good home.
As a result I also learned that my grandmother was an assistant beekeeper as a little girl, where she helped Al the beeman collect honey. How exciting!
It is amazing the new, fun stories you can collect just by rescuing a few insects.
